At Punarsutra, post-consumer textiles are collected, checked, sorted, and reimagined into thoughtfully designed products. The initiative is not only creating new objects; it is rewriting the journey of fabric from consumption to conscious creation.
Old clothes, surplus fabrics, and textile scraps move through collection, sorting, sanitization, reconstruction, stitching, weaving, and finishing before they become bags, stationery, decor, accessories, and institutional gifting products.
Textile waste is diverted into upcycling, resale, recycling, and circular production pathways, reducing landfill pressure while keeping usable fabric in circulation for longer.
Women-led teams cut, stitch, weave, applique, and finish discarded fabric into high-value products with visible handmade character and a clear material story.

The Look Book shows a complete circular journey: society collection, sorting, upcycling, and final product creation. Each stage adds value to material that would otherwise become waste.

Discarded clothes are collected from societies, RWAs, awareness drives, and community systems.
2. Sorting
Usable material is segregated, cleaned, and prepared for the right circular route.
3. Upcycling
Women artisans reconstruct fabric through stitching, weaving, applique, patchwork, and finishing.
4. Creation
The final product enters the Punarsutra catalogue with a second life and a clear purpose.
