About Initiative

Textile waste, redesigned with purpose.

Navi Mumbai, one of India's cleanest cities, is now leading in textile circularity. With support from Textile Committee and Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, discarded clothes are collected from societies, sorted, and upcycled by SHG women into useful handcrafted products.

Meet the hands behind every product

Circularity led by women.

Every discarded fabric carries a past and a possibility. Punarsutra collects post-consumer textiles and reimagines them into thoughtfully designed products where waste becomes resource and stories are woven anew.

This is not only recycling. It is community-driven craftsmanship that shifts fabric from end-of-life material to a beginning of a new story.

Trust and traceability

A circularity project customers can trust.

100% traceability direction

Digital collection and material data is supported through KOSHA integration and QR-based tracking.

Recognized pilot project

The initiative has received project recognition and visits from textile, development, and civic stakeholders.

Designed for market linkage

Products move from collection and sorting into ecommerce, exhibitions, corporate gifting, and custom collaborations.
